A Waldorf Company, Built on Getting Basements Legal

Waldorf Egress Window Company is a Waldorf based egress window contractor serving Charles County and the Southern Maryland communities around it. We are a licensed and bonded Maryland contractor working under Maryland Home Improvement Commission license 155221, and we are veteran friendly. Every project runs under one contract with a written scope and a fixed price agreed before the saw starts, and every opening is laid out to IRC R310 before we cut.

Our position is simple: an egress window is a life safety system that happens to let in light. Across St. Charles, Pinefield, and the older subdivisions we find the same story: basement rooms used as bedrooms for years that the code never recognized, wells set without any drainage, and ladders missing where the depth requires them. We cut the opening, set the window and the well on a real gravel bed, tie the drainage into the home system, and close the permit with both inspections, so the room counts as what the family already uses it as.

What We Build

How We Work

Every project starts with a site visit where we measure the proposed opening, check the foundation type and thickness, confirm the grade, and find the drainage tie in point. We lay the R310 opening out on the wall, verify the net clear opening math, and submit the Charles County permit with the window dimensioned on the plans. On cut day we brace the wall, wet cut under water suppression and dust containment, and set the structural lintel before the rough in inspection. After it passes we set the window, install the well on its gravel bed with the drain tied in, backfill in compacted lifts, and finish the interior ready for paint. The final inspection closes the permit, and we walk the work with you, demonstrating the cover release and the ladder.

Where We Work

Our home base is Waldorf, and our service area covers the communities around it: Clinton, Fort Washington, Camp Springs, Bensville, Accokeek, Lexington Park, California, Rosaryville, Brandywine, La Plata, Marlton, Bryans Road, Chesapeake Beach, Leonardtown, Indian Head, Huntingtown, Prince Frederick, Solomons, Hughesville, Dunkirk. If your town is nearby but not listed, send the quote form anyway and ask. We would rather tell you honestly whether we can serve you well than stretch the map.
